Tiara
This 19th century French sterling silver tiara was originally found crumpled, ready to be scrapped.
The metal had to be meticulously unfolded, replacement parts forged, cast, or fabricated, and then soldered to the original body. The piece was then gold plated.
Originally set with lemon quartz stones, replacements had to be hand cut to match.
The matching pin and set of earrings were made with design elements pulled from the original piece.
